Just waiting…

Without my Mod Podge I’m stalling out on projects. I have been crocheting, and I coaxed the last bit of Podge out of the bottle to work on my ribbon organizer, but nothing is done. At least I’ve learned the limits of an 8oz bottle of Mod Podge. Can you tell I haven’t been decoupaging long?

I have a good reason for not running out and buying a new bottle at Wal-Mart, though. They only have 8oz bottles of the original Matte and Gloss formulas. I’m covering a whole desk intended to be my crafting work space, so I needed something heavy duty.

I’m such a geek for new craft supplies. That’s part of why a stash bust will be so hard! I got two bottles of Hard Coat, a 16oz of Gloss (my favorite!), and a tool set. I am suffering without a brayer. I’ve already had a lot of bubbles trying to cover the desk and I really want to avoid more. I can only cover so many spots with butterflies and dots.

Living in an area with no craft stores is rough. I hate waiting on shipping; patience is not a strong suit of mine. How do you handle a wait?

  1. One more thing! I had my stitches out today and feeling the string pulling through my gums was the most icky feeling ever! Oooh, it gave me the creeps.

  2. I know, it's awful! I have to drive at least an hour to get to the nearest Hobby Lobby. Congrats on getting your stitches removed, even if you did have to endure the creepy string-pulling. Real food is just around the corner!

  3. If you don't have a brayer you can work in smaller sections and just use a credit card (or something similar) to smooth the paper down (that's what I do). If you want a great video tutorial on how to podge paper without bubbles go here:
